About Me

Becca Poppy (they/them), LMHC in Washington State

a light skinned person with short hair, Becca is sitting in front of a green and turquoise background and smiling slightly at the camera.

I am neurodivergent, queer, non-monogamous, and genderqueer.

I have worked with children, teens, adults, and families in various capacities for over a decade. I have a master's degree in counseling psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology- a relational, psychodynamic training program. I am a licensed Mental Health Therapist in the state of Washington.

In my free time I can be found cooking with others in my kitchen, wandering through PNW forests, paddleboarding on various bodies of water, rollerskating with reckless abandon, and cuddling on the couch with my cats.

How We Heal

I believe that humans are relational creatures, and that co-connection is a vital part of healing. I became a therapist because I believe that healing is a collective journey, meaning that we heal through relationships.

What I Believe in

I believe in harm reduction and fat liberation. I am kink literate and sex worker allied. I strive to create a practice and lifestyle that interrogates the messages we have been given through a liberatory and decolonized lens.

A Note on Privilege

I hold privilege due to my race, ethnicity, English language, and class status. I am committed to actively unlearning my internalized white supremacy and building my skills to decolonize mental health.
